Lemon or Vinegar Refrigerator Pickles
3 Quart size Mason jars
2 Cloves of Garlic cut in half (per jar)
10 Cucumbers depending on size
2 Tsp dill seed ( Per jar)
2 Teaspoons of salt. ( Per Jar you're making)
1 Cup of fresh lemon juice ( Omit if using vinegar)
1 Teaspoon of Apple juice ( Or 1 Tsp of Sugar. I use sugar usually, but you can use Apple juice if you don't want to use sugar)
2-3 Cups of Water
Fresh Cut Dill
* If doing vinegar pickles add 2 Cups of white vinegar
This recipe is for 3 quart size jars
Wash and Cut Cucumbers ( Either strips of slices)
Place Garlic, fresh dill, dill seeds and salt in jar.
On stovetop mix Water, Sugar ( or apple juice) Vinegar ( or lemon) until sugar is dissolved.
Once dissolved let cool of just a little bit, maybe2-3 minutes and then pour the mixture into the jars that already have the cucumbers, dill, dill seeds, and garlic.
Cover with lid. Let it sit for a couple days before eating one!
They will be delicious! The lemon ones obviously taste more lemony than vinegar, but they are still great!
