Breakfast Oatmeal

Breakfast Oatmeal Recipe

Sometimes  its hard to achieve a delicious oatmeal with good consistency and flavor. Here is a yummy and easy recipe that has just the right amount of creaminess and flavor. A great breakfast especially on cold fall mornings. 


INGREDIENTS 

1 cup of rolled oats 

2 cups of water

1 cup unsweetened coconut milk ( refrigerated not canned) 

1/4 cup unsweetened shredded coconut

2 Tbs honey 

1 tsp orange zest  

1/8 tsp salt

1/8 tsp cinnamon 


DIRECTIONS

Mix water, milk, and oats together and bring to a boil 

Cook for 8-10 minutes, mix well 

Once cooked add, shredded coconut, honey, salt, cinnamon, and orange zest. Mix together. 

Top oatmeal with your favorite toppings such as strawberries, blueberries, almonds, walnuts, pecans, chia seeds, etc. The list is endless. 

This recipe is for 2 people. If making for 4 do 2 cups of oats to 3 1/2 cups of water and 1 1/2 cups of coconut milk.
