Outdoor Spring Table

Beautiful moments made while gathered outdoors to enjoy dinner. Scroll to see a simple table full of spring blooms and candlelight.

I love this time of year with the crisp air and no Georgia humidity. This little table set right between two tree’s in our orchard by the garden is a perfect spot to dine. I love decorating a table with natural elements and this one was no exception.

HOW TO

I love incorporating our same everyday dishes and adding some special touches to make it unique. I love neutral colors as I feel they go well with each season and can be easily used to reflect any season of the year.

One way I feel you can instantly make a place setting feel more special is by adding cloth napkins. I specifically like linen ones. Since this is outdoor dining and more casual I didn’t even press them. I love the natural look and how it makes the place setting look more complete.

I love adding anything that adds character so I used flatware that was given to me by Jared’s grandma. I’m a sucker for gold in any season.

Candlelight is always a must whether inside our outside. I love it when the wax drips down and since it’s outdoors and this is a simple table I don’t mind for it to run down onto the table. Its so beautiful to have candles flickering at dusk. Our garden also has string lights all the way around which adds to the ambiance of this outdoor area.

For your candlelight use metal candlesticks, wooden ones, and even small votives. The more the better as it will give off a beautiful glow once it gets dark.

Tulips and hydrangeas are the perfect flower of the season. With their vibrant colors and textures they really add a beautiful element to any table. I love using simple mason jars to place blooms in. I even picked some wild flowers that were growing around our property.

Use varying heights of jars for added dimension to your table. Even Oscar the kitty joined in on the fun!

Adding potted plants also adds to the table. Grab terra cotta pots and whitewash them or leave them as is. They look beautiful with blooms and if you have a long table you can place them throughout for some height.
