These sweet placemats are the perfect Valentine’s day activity and will look beautiful on your table too! If you’re looking for more Valentine’s inspiration take a look at last year’s tablescape + this simple DIY There is also this cute gift idea that’s super easy to make.

MATERIALS NEEDED

FABRIC- I used a canvas-type fabric. You can really use a wide variety of fabrics. Simply choose one that will be sturdier than most. Cut to desired placement size.

Potato- a Russet potato or other large variety will do. You’ll need 1-2

Paint- I used acrylic paint in pale pinks, lavender, and white.

Paintbrush or paint foam.

That’s it! Most of the materials are ones you might have on hand.

HOW TO MAKE THEM

Cut the end of the potato

Insert the cookie cutter all the way in

Use a knife to cut around and remove the potato

You now have a stamp ready to go!

Add paint to your potato stencil and stamp away!

Use as many or as little amount of color varieties as you’d like!

A few hearts or many, it’s up to you!
