SIMPLE NATURAL ELEMENTS

When it comes to decorating our home I like to keep it as simple and no fuss as possible. Many times I incorporate things I already have. Nature is my biggest inspiration and I love to gather things from the outside and bring them in. Here are a few things I use.

Natural Greenery

Pinecones

Branches

Fresh berries

Dried citrus

I have fresh cedar garland that I hung on our mirror from Lynch Creek Farms They offer beautiful natural greenery that smells amazing and really adds a touch of the outdoors to the home. You can use code AZUREFARM5 for a discount!

ADD A MIRROR

A mirror is always a great way to reflect light and add atmosphere. Whether it’s a small mirror or large mirror like the one in our dining room.

An antique mirror with lots of detail is perfect for the holidays. Anything in gold or silver, even bronze would look beautiful with the glow of candles.

There is a Christmas tree in our dinning room that reflects onto the mirror and it looks extra magical that way.

I even have a tiny mirror in my kitchen that reflects our big tree in the living room and I love that soft glow reflected in the kitchen in the evenings.

Speaking of kitchen, if you’re looking for some delicious recipes to make this holiday season see below! These are plant-based-recipes that everyone is sure to enjoy.

CANDLES

This is of course a given but you can’t beat the glow of a real candle burning by the twinkle lights. They add such atmosphere. Years ago I found some antique brass candlesticks and they are my go to always when it comes to decorating this time of year.

Here’s a few things I do when it comes to adding candles

Use different heights

Mix and match metals ( use gold and silver votives)

Incorporate wood elements

Use tea lights and candlesticks

I have a big box of plain white candlesticks and I just replace them when needed. I tend to burn candles a LOT around here.

If you incorporate natural greenery, mirrors, and candles into your holiday decor you are sure to create a magical space no matter the size. It will be a beautiful space that creates memories.
